Walden Cabin in Prince Edward Island Walden Cabin is a secluded 10-acre woodland retreat in the rolling farmland of central Prince Edward Island, Canada. A winding drive through maples leads to the cabin and separate bath house. Both are built in the style of a 19th century PEI carriage house: A perfect private oasis for writers, artists, or couples wanting to escape the city. Walden Cabin is inspired by and named for the New England cabin built by Henry David Thoreau in early 1800s. It was at Thoreau's cabin where he wrote Walden; Or, Life in the Woods, as well as other texts that remain some of the most insightful and enduring contributions to American literature. Thoreau knew the value of a woodland escape. We've tried our best to recreate it for the 21st Century. Your
stay at Walden Cabin in Prince Edward Island includes all the comforts
of home: Kitchen supplies, towels, linens and bedding are provided.
TV/VCR, gas BBQ and fax machine are also included. There is a washroom
in the main cabin, as well as a second washroom and antique claw foot
tub in the cedar bath house. For more information and photos, see http://www.accolade.ca/pei Rates:
